This was a military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service against the U.S. This attack occurred while The U.S. and Japan were both officially engaging in diplomatic negotiations to restore peace in Asia. -
Bataan Death March
This was an event when the Japanese Imperial Army forced thousands of Allied soldiers (Americans and Filipinos), were forced to march around 80 miles across the Bataan peninsula. Many of the soldiers died due to the harsh treatment received. -

This was an American successful defense against the Japanese attack against Midway Atoll. This battle also changed the tide of the war between Japan and the U.S. on the American's favor. -

A Russian territory that managed to successfully defend against the German. This marked the turning tide of the war in favor of the Allies. -

Also called Operation Overlord or D-Day. This was the largest seaborne invasion in history. -

This was the last major German offensive invasion on the Western Front. This was also the biggest battle the Americans fought during the war. -

This was a meeting between some of the major Allied powers. This meeting was made for the purpose to reorganize Germany and Europe in the postwar period. -
Iwo Jima and Okinawa
A battle in which the U.S. invaded two islands of Japan and were successful. The Japanese had dug many tunnels and hid artillery weapons everywhere. -
V-E day
This commemorates the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany. This was also a celebration of the victory of Europe. -
Atomic Bombings of Japan
The U.S. launched two nuclear bombs on Japan. After the second bombing, Japan decided to surrender. -
V-J Day
This is the victory over Japan day in which the imperial Japanese army surrendered. This also marked the end of WWII.
