This was categorized as a agressive move by Japan by the US. The invasion was the first aggresive move, and begun the tension between nations. -

Treaty of Cooperation
Germany and Italy sign a Treaty of Cooperation. This treaty provides importance to the Germans during the course of the war. If Germany did not establish this alliance there was a threat of a multi-front war. Not only that, but Italy and Germany both promoted nationalism. This alliance ultimately provided an allie to the German's for the course of the war. -
Anti-Comintern Pact
This pact was essential to the Japanese and Germans. The pact was the first step for the Germans and Japanese to establish an alliance. German recognized Japan as a strengthening nation. Thus, Germany took advantage of his position and established this alliance. This alliance secured protection for both nations from the Soviet Union incase of attack. -
Munich Pact
This pact acted as an appeasment for Hitler. Germany, Italry, France, and Great Britain attended the making of the pact. The pact addressed the secession of Sudetanland to Germany, They reached this agreement because Hitler promised this was his last demand in terms of land in Europe. It was also agreed to because the United Kingdom did not want to go to war with Germany. Hitler used this pact to undermine the hatred building toward Germany. -
Munich Pact Violation
Germany violates his agreement in the Munich Pact. Hitler never had intentions of keeping his promise made in the Munich Pact. He manipulated Great Britain and wanted more land. He gains occupation of the rump Czech lands. Hitler progresses his control of Europe at this point. -
Nonaggression Agreement
Germany and the Soviet Union sign a nonaggression agreement. This agreement was ment to be broken by Germany later in the war. For the remaining time, Germany could not risk the attack of the Soviet Union against them, so they established them as an Allie. With this Allie in place, Hitler believed he could gain control of Europe and eventually overthrow the Soviet Union gaining complete domination. -
Germany attacks Poland
Germany invades Poland. With the invasion of Poland, Germany initiates the second world war in Europe. This invasion ended with the annexation of Poland between the Soviet Union and Germany. Hitler was looking to gain back his lost territory in Europe following the loss of WWI. He proceeded by gaining control of territory one country and a time. -
WWII takes off
After the invasion of Poland Britain and France have had enough. Britain and France declare war on Germany. Britain begun bombing German ships, but had restrictions to not hurt any civilians. Not having these restrictions, Germany freely killed any civilian who did or did not get in their way. Britain and France proceeded to be on the attack after the declaration of war. -
Germany Invades Norway
Germany invades Norway and Denmark. Denmark ends up surrendering the day of the attack. Norway on the other hand, holds out for another month. This attack added Hitlers 2nd and 3rd conquered country to his list. Hitler is establishing his power throughout Europe. -
Italy enters the war
Italy enters the war on the side of the axis powers. Italy begins the war by invading France. The goal of this invasion was to take over the Alps mountain range. The goal of Italy was also to establish their known power throughout Europe. Italy's goals were short lived and did not advance to the position they wanted. -
Soviet Union Counter-Defence
Germany tried to invade the Soviet Union. In a counter defence, the Soviet Union push German forces from Moscow to the suburbs to the German's defeat. This ended the alliance between Germany and was a poor move by Hitler. The Soviet Union did not take this lightly and countinuted to destroy the Germans throughout the course of the war. -
The U.S. enters the war
After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the US has had enough and enters the war. Declaring war on the Japanese, a move the Japs did not anticipate. The goal of the bombing of Pearl Harbor was to criple the US enough that they could not recover before Japan took over most of the Pacific and Europe. This was obviously a poor decision. -
US takes control of Sicily
The US invades and gain control of Sicily. This is the beginning of the Axis power's demise. No longer can Italy hold its own and the German's have their own battles going on. The US takes advantage of this and looks to end the war. By mid-August the Allies controlled Sicily. -
The Battle of the Bulge
The Battle of the Bulge was an attempt for the German's to regain control of Belguim. It was Hitler's last, and final desperate attempt to gain control of the war. Failing in this instance, Hitler and the German's retreat. This stops the German's advancement in the war. Essentially, crippling Hitler and his once such powerful army. -
Germany's defeat
Hitler committed suicide April 30, 1945. Germany also admits their defeat to the US and the allies May 7, 1945. They also admit their defeat to the Soviets May 9, 1945. With the defeat of Germany, the World War was nearing an end. The sad part of this, many of those at fault of the war, such as Hitler, killed themselves before recieving proper punishment. -
Japan surrenders
The Japanese surrender. After a hard fought war, WWII finally came to an end. After the dropping of the first atomic bomb, on Hiroshima, and then the second on Nagasaki, the Japs realize they had no further actions thtat could compare to the devastating effects of the atomic bombs. The Allies, after the war, continued to liberate concentration camps throughout Germany and Poland. After their liberations, they formed countries throughout the middle east for the jews to reside.
