Nazis Take Czechoslovakia
The Czech capital, Prague, was taken over by Nazi Germany after Hitler recieved rights to march his troops through Czech territory. He was given these rights after threatening to bomb Prague. -
Nazis Invade Poland.
Hitler used all of his power within the Nazi regime to invade Poland, including the Luftwaffe (German Airforce), and German U-Boats to attack by sea. Hitler claimed that this invasion had defensive reasons, but the allied forces were not convinced, leading to World War II.

British Air Force Attacks German Navy
The Royal Air Force launched a raid on the German naval fleet on the northwestern coast of Germany. Several planes were lost in the attack, and little damage was done to the German navy; however, this was the first British attack in the war. -
The Germans Enter Paris
Shortly after bombing Paris, the German military began to occupy it. Many residents fled, despite the plea by Britain to not give in. Germany controlled most of France shortly after this event. -

The Battle of Britain was a series of German bombing raids that lasted for over three months. Much of London was destroyed; however, Britain held on and never gave up like France did. This was one of the major events that helped to pull America into the war. -
First British Air Raid On Berlin
After a German bombing run in London just days earlier, Winston Churchill ordered the first British bombing run on Berlin. The people of Berlin had second doubts over the war after this event, since they were assured that no planes could break the German border.
