At first Hitler was not appointed Chancellor by Hindenburg, but he had the larger party. Bataan Death March
After the US surrender of the Bataan peninsula around 75,000 Filipino and American troops located there were forced to make an exhausting 65-mile march to prison camps. Battle of Coral Sea
This battle was a Japanese in order to occupy Tulagi of the Solomon Islands. The US broke the Japanese secret war code and informed the islanders, and this resulted in four days of battles between Japanese and American aircraft. Battle of Midway
This battle was a four day sea and air battle where the Us pacific fleet destroyed four Japanese aircrafts and only losing one, despite being outnumbered. The German High Command, in the person of General Alfred Jodl, signed the unconditional surrender of all German forces, East and West, at Reims, in northwestern France.
