France build a line of concrete bunkers and fortifications called Maginot Line. The Maginot line would have worked really well if Germany would have gone over them but Germany just went around the barricade. Hitler went through Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. This allowed Germany to concentrate on Poland.
