    The U.S. and the British invaded the island on around 1400 ships. Rather than being taken prisoner, most people chose suicide. Khamakazies were used many times during this battle. This was the last major battle in WWII.

    Hitler committed suicide in a bunker while hiding from the Soviets after they entered Berlin.

    A bomb of uranium with 15000 tons of pressure detonated in Hiroshima. It destroyed over 70 percent of Hiroshima and around 150,000 people died and thousands of others burnt or injured. The bombs name was Little Boy.

    The second bomb was dropped on the Japanese by the Allies. "Big Boy" was dropped and did significant damage to Nagasaki. It was a plutonium bomb and helped end WWII.

    The largest battle that the U.S. fought in WWII. Wounded Soldiers froze to death before they could get saved. It was one of the bloodiest battles in the war. Germans had bad supply lines cause they were far away from supplies which caused them to lose the battle.
