This Battle was between Britain and Germany, the Germans attacked Great Britain. The German Air Force attacked Great Britain by plane. Hitler's plan to take over Britain failed after the British won the battle. -
The Bombing of Pearl Harbor
Japan attacked the United States Navy base in Hawaii. 18 U.S. vessels were attacked and damaged, 2,403 men were killed, and around 250-300 aircraft were broken/destroyed -
The Battle of Midway
This Battle is fought with mostly aircraft. The Japanese attacked the U.S. base on Midway. The facilities suffered minimum damage, and the U.S. won the battle cause of poor planning, and poor decisions made by the Japanese. -
The Battle of Stalingrad
"Bloodiest Battle in U.S. history." Fought between Germany and its Allies against the Soviet Union. This Battle was fought in Russia at the city of Stalingrad -
Operation Torch
The main goal of Operation Torch was to take pressure off of the Soviets by creating a diversion. They added a second front in the Mediterranean so the Germans would have more area to focus on. Americans would have their first involvement with the Nazis at this time. -

Established by the Allies to help protect property in areas of war during and after WWII. -
The Battle of Kursk
This Battle cleared the way for Soviet Fences being the largest tank battle in history. The result of this battle was a victory for the Soviets. -
D-Day
Largest amphibious invasion in military history. Lots of countries came together to fight against the Germans to take back France. It was fought on the beach in Normandy France. -
The Battle of Iwo Jima
United States Marines entered Iwo Jima, fought the Japanese, and dug into the Japanese volcanic terrain. 27 metals of honor were given out after the victory. -
The Battle of Okinawa
The U.S. and the British invaded the island on around 1400 ships. Rather than being taken prisoner, most people chose suicide. Khamakazies were used many times during this battle. This was the last major battle in WWII. -
Death of Adolf Hitler
Hitler committed suicide in a bunker while hiding from the Soviets after they entered Berlin. -
Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima
A bomb of uranium with 15000 tons of pressure detonated in Hiroshima. It destroyed over 70 percent of Hiroshima and around 150,000 people died and thousands of others burnt or injured. The bombs name was Little Boy. -
Atomic Bombing Nagasaki
The second bomb was dropped on the Japanese by the Allies. "Big Boy" was dropped and did significant damage to Nagasaki. It was a plutonium bomb and helped end WWII. -
The Battle of the Bulge
The largest battle that the U.S. fought in WWII. Wounded Soldiers froze to death before they could get saved. It was one of the bloodiest battles in the war. Germans had bad supply lines cause they were far away from supplies which caused them to lose the battle.
