The Rape of Nanjing was a mass-killing and mass-rape of the citizens of Nanjing committed by the Japanese troops. The killing spanned six weeks starting on December 13th, 1937. -
Anschluss

Taking place in the deserts of Libya and Egypt and lasting 2 years and 7 months, the Desert wars saw the Allied forces up against the Italian and German forces occupying Egypt and Libya. The result was an allied victory. -
Pearl Harbor
The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise bombing by the Japanese on the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday morning, December 7, 1941. The attack led to the United States entering into World War II the next day. -
Battle of Moscow
Battle between the Axis powers and the Soviet Union which saw the Germans "blitzkrieg" halted by strategic defensive tactics by the soviets. The result of Germany's advances on Russia was a German surrender. -
Battle of stalingrad
Largest battle in World War 2 in which the Germans fought the Soviets for the control of Stalingrad in Southern Russia. The results of the Battle were that of a Soviet Victory and the destruction of the German 6th Army. -
D-Day
June 6th, 1944 when the Allied forces conducted a seaborne invasion of Northern France. By August 1944 all of France had been liberated. The Normandy landings marked the beginning of the end of World War 2. -
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
After obtaining consent from the United Kingdom (Per the Quebec Agreement) the US dropped two atoms bombs over the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Japan on August 6th 1945 and August 9th 1945. This marked the end of World War 2 and the Allied forces victory. -
Genocide
Genocide is the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially because of their ethnicity or nation. World War 2 saw the genocide of the Jews, as Hitler targeted them believing that they were filth.
