This battle was taken place in British airspace, because this entire battle was Air Force based. Canada helped the British while Italy helped the Germans. -
Operation barabossa
This event started on June 22nd 1941 and this was the start of hitlers plan to take over the Soviet unions land. This event occurred in the western part of the Soviet’s land. As far as why they called it Barabossa, that’s was the code name they used for this operation. -
Operation torch
Taken by the allied forces it was the French British and a smaller amount of Americans trying to take over a part of Northern Africa. French now was starting to be more of an Allie then a axis force. They were mostly against French colonists. -
D-day
This event is known by many, even if they don’t know the context of it they probably have heard of it. This is when the allied forces invaded the northern part of France. This is also known as the largest water invasion in history. -

This was for the allied forces, and there goal was to take over parts of German occupied Western Europe. They were successful in their efforts. -
Yalta conference
This was an important event in contribution to the end of the war because this was a meeting between the major powers of the United States, United Kingdom and the Soviet Union. This meeting was to talk about kind of like what was next for all of Europe.
