Nazi and allies faught the Soviet Union on the Eastern front. Try to control the city of Stalingard in Southern Russia. Turned into house-to-house fighting style. -

D stands for "Day". Normandy was the landing operations. Largest invasion in hisory. -

Launched in Belgium, France and Europe. Surprise U.S. attack. Had highest casualties ever in war. -

U.S. marines landed on and captured the island of Jima. Located in Japan. One of the bloodiest fighting wars in the Pacific. -

Lasted 82 days. Centered around Okinawa. Was one of the most amphibious assaults. -

Victory in Europe day. Because of the defeat over Germany. Signed on May 7th. -
Dropping of the Atomic bombs
Dropped on Hiroshima and Nowisatki. Payback on Japan from Pearl Harbor. Many died and had skin problems. -
VJ Day
President Truman declared victory. Victory in the Pacific day. When WWII Officially ended.
