Germany Invades Poland
On September 1st, Hitler ordered his troops to invade Poland. A few days later France and Britain declare war on Germany and starts a war. -

After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Japan damaged the US military badly. After almost a year, the US found out that Japan's next move was to take over the Midway islands. This caused a Naval battle between the two countries. The result was the US bombing the Japanese carriers. -
D-Day
On June 6th, General Dwight D Eisenhower leads an Invasion on Omaha beach in Northern France. The result was the Allies taking control of the beach. However, many lives were lost. -
Liberation of Paris
During the Summer of 1944, the Allies have gained a lot of territory in Europe. With the help of the French Resistance, they were able to liberate Paris, the capital of France. -
Battle of the Bulge
During the Winter, United States was setting up camp in the Ardennes Forest. Germany was worried about the future of the war, Hitler sent in an attack on the campsite. -
Hitler commits Suicide
Towards the end of April Hitler shot himself in his office because he was afraid to face his war crimes and was too scared to face his punishments. This was known as V-E Day (Victory Europe). -
US Drops Atomic Bomb, Japan Surrenders
While the death of Hitler brought peace to Europe, the US was still in an endless fight with Japan in the pacific. The US decided to create, Project Manhattan, which was the idea to create two atomic bombs, to drop on Japan. When the bombs dropped on Japan, they immediately surrendered.
