    Men had to be five feet tall and weigh 105 pounds to serve. They also had to have good vision and most of their teeth. This congress gives the U.S president power to draft soldiers. The act required all men between the ages of 21 and 30, in the U.S to register for military service. Within a few months, about 10 million men across the country had registered because of the military draft.

    The Pearl Harbor is a U.S naval base near Honolulu Hawaii. The attack by the Japanese occurred on Sunday December 7, 1941 at 7:55 AM. They managed to destroy about 20 American naval vessels, eight battle ships, and more than 300 airplanes. They killed more than 2,400 Americans and wounded about 1,000 people during the attack. The day after, President Franklin D. Roosevelt asked the congress to declare war on Japan.

The Navy then waited for them. he Japanese would lose 3,500 men, four carriers, a cruiser and 332 aircraft. The Americans would lose 307 men, the carrier Yorktown, one destroyer and 150 aircraft.
