Germany invaded Russia. Russias scorched earth policy killed many of the germans. After 6 months the Soviets defeated the germans. -

Allies rushed to the German capital(Berlin). But by the time they were there Hitler had already committed suicide 2 days before they arrived this ended the war in Germany. This marked victory for the allies against Germany. -

V-J Day
After the bombing japan surrendered. Harry Truman dropped the bomb to end the war.
