Germany invaded Poland but, Poland wasn’t ready for the attack. Poland tried to work out an agreement with Germany but, Germany wouldn’t cooperate. Since Germany wouldn’t cooperate France and Great Britain declared war on Germany. -

On D-Day there were over 160,000 Allied troops and 30,000 vehicles along a 50 mile stretch. They were on a fortified French coastline. They started fighting on the beaches of Normandy.
