Allowed Britian and other countries to have our tanks on the deal that they would be payed for after the war. -
Hitler Takes Over The Balkans
After the Italians failed to take over Greece and the Balkans, Germany intervened and killed them in a month. -
German Blitzkrieg on Soviet Union
Also known as "Operation Barborossa," the German blitzkrieg on the Soviet Union was the largest land invasion in the history of warfare. The Germans and Soviets were "allies" before this event took place. This invasion would untimately lead to Germany's demise. -

Allies met to discuss post-war Europe and how everything was to be done with the war torn nations after the war was over. -

While at his house in Warm Springs, Ga, he died of a stroke. -

Mussolini was trying to escape north and was captured and executed. His body was then hung in the streets for everyone to see. -

Soviets were on the doorstep of Berlin. Hitler and his wife both commit suicide in his bunker. -
Cold War
In my opinion, the Cold war started right after Hitler's death and the defeat of Germany. The Cold War was an arms build up between the US and USSR. The USSR would eventually collapse in 1991 and went back to being Russia. Luckily there was never really any war between the two as it surely would have led to the destruction of the planet. -
Formation of the U.N.
After WW2, leaders in the allied country came up with the United Nations. It was the less glitchy version of the League of Nations. It is a very powerful committee to this day. -

Allies meet after the European Front has finished and discuss the division of Germany -

In an effort to end the war, the US drops the new atomic bomb on Hiroshima. -
Bombing of Nagasaki
After dropping the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, the US dropped one more on Nagasaki, ending the war. -

Where war criminals were tried and convicted for their hanous acts during the war. -

Allies decided to drop supplys in West Berlin since the Soviets had put a blockade on the city, demonstrating their dislike of the Deutsche Mark. -
Berlin Wall
Was created to keep people from fleeing into West Berlin. It also served as a idealogical divide between democracy and communism. -
Cuban Missle Crisis
Probably the closest the US and USSR got to nuclear. USSR tried to put missles in Cuba and the US did not take kindly to this.
