The Munich Pact
The Munich Pact was an agreement signed by Germany and the Allie forces. The states that Germany can only take the Sudetenland and that is it. It was important becuase it said that Germany can not be on the offensive even though it will happen very soon. -
Kristallnacht
Kristallnacht is the night of Broken Glass. This is the night that Hitler and the Nazis campaign against the Jews. They burn down many synagagues and send may jews to concentration camps. This is important because it shows Germany starting to split uo as a country. -
Non-Agression Pact
The Non-Agression Pact was signed by Germany and Soviet Union to not attack each other. This was signed so they can both go into Poland and get land without conflict. This was important because they didn't have to worry about each other and the world knew Poland was going to get invaded. -
Invasion of Poland
The Invasion of Poland was the start of WWII. The allies had Poland's back so they where forced to go into war with Germany. Poland gave a fight to the Germans but eventually Germany took over, This is important because this is the start of WWII. -
Invasion of France
This is the day when Germany invaded France. Hitler and his army much more powerful than the French army and in 6 weeks takes over Paris. This is the highlight when he took over Paris. This is important because one of the main allies is taken down and only one remains. -
Battle of Britian
On this day Germany and its air force attacks Britian. It was only Air Force becuase all naval ships were intercepted by the British. This is important becuase they are the last stand for the allies so they have to defeat the Germans. They end up making Germany retreat which shows hope of stopping the Nazi Army. -
Invasion of the Soviet Union
On this day the Germans begin to attack the Soviet Union. This is suprising and catches Stalin completely offgaurd. The Germans have to retreat becuase of the harsh Russian Winter. This is important because every country knows they can get betrayed by Hitler. -
Operation Overload
Known as D-Day this is the day when the U.S. lands in France to take over and defeat the Germans. They eventually sucessful and get the Germans out of ally territories. This important because this is the first time the U.S. is on the offensive side in the war. -
VE Day
This is the day that war ends in Europe. The Germans finally surrender and now the war is all focused on in Asia. This is important because all the U.S. has to focus on is Asia and can defeat the Japanese.
