Hitler Invades Western Europe
Hitler invaded western Europe to hold of British forces and to gain more land. He was able to conquer these countries because of the blitzkrieg method. This means that you bring a entire army worth of people to one battle. -
Germany Invades the Soviet Union
Germany had a secret non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union saying they wouldn't fight. Later on germany got greedy for land and invaded Russia. The Russian forces held of the German attacks forcing the nazi army to retreat. -
Japan Bombs Pearl Harbor
Japan took over multiple islands in the pacific ocean and saw America as a threat to them. They bombed Pearl Harbor which started a war between the two countries. Around 3,000 soldiers died and hundreds of citizens as well. -
D-Day
The United States and the British forces invaded Normandy, France to take back allied land. They raided the beaches and took them all easly except for Omaha Beach. The American troops stormed the beaches while being fired at by multiple mounted machine guns. In the end, the U.S. took the beach. -
U.S. Bombs Hiroshima
On August 6, 1945 the United States bombed Hiroshima. This was a very important event to ending the war between the U.S. and Japan. Around 80,000 people died instantly and thousands died shortly after from radiation piosoning. -
U.S. Bombs Nagasaki, Japan
This was the second atomic bomb that the U.S. dropped on Japan. Around 40,000 instantly died and thousands later died from radiation piosoning. This bomb ended the war between the U.S. and Japan.
