U.S. Breaks Relations
The U.S. broke off diplomatic relations with Germany, and started preperations for war. Influenced by a telegram sent by Arthur Zimmerman, to Germany's Mexican ambassador. It was intercepted by the British, it had said "In exchange for Mexico's support in the war, Germany would help reclaim land lost in the Mexican- American War". -

The United States passed the Selective draft law. It gave the federal government permissio to raise a national army for America to enter WWI through the compulsory enlistment of people. The law was cancelled with the end of the war. -

Armistice of Salonica (Bulgaria)
Signed by Bulgaria and the Allied Powers in Thessaloniki. The signing was held after the request by the Bulgarian government, asking for a ceasefire. It ended Bulgaria's participation in WWI on the Central Powers side. -
