Lenin still led the split political party of the Russian Social-Democrat Labor party,and his party was soon moved in and took control of Russia. -
The communist party is developed
Lenin changed the name of his political party to the communist party. -
Russia backs out of WWI
Lenin signed a treaty, taking Russia out of WWI.Later that year he had Czar Nicholas and his family killed. -
The USSR is established
Lenin helped establish the United Soviet Socialists Republic, a communist country. He worked with Joseph Stalin. -
Vladimir Lenin dies
After Lenin died, everyone knew that Joseph Stalin would rule for many years to come. -
Stock Market Crashes ---- Great Depression
On "Black Tuesday" stock market prices start to drop and by the end of November markets lost 30 billion.-----It was a very diffult time in the U.S. Banks and Businesses closed,leaving millions of Americans without a job. -
Hoover says worst is over
President Hervert Hoover tells Americans that the economy will start to improve within the next 60 days. -
Food Riots break out
Hungry Americans smash grocery store windows,take food,and run away because they do not have any other way of getting food to eat. -
Roosevelt is elected president
Many Americans did not think president Hoover did enough to help them and hope that Roosevelt will end the Depression. -
The Holocaust
The Holocaust was a time of terror and death for Jews,and many other nationalities during World War 2. -
Hitler comes to power
Adolph Hitler was named chancellor of Germany and hated Jews,he quickly implemented anti-Jewish police. -
The death of those with disabilities
Hitler called for death of those people considered to have a disability, they killed them with poisonous gases. -
Hitler invades surrounding countries
Once Hitler had his rule firmly in place, he began invading nearby countries and taking rule of them. -
The Great Depression Ends---Japan attacks Pearl Harbor
The U.S declares war on Japan and joins WWII. Also the war creates so much money and jobs for the econmy.When the U.S goes to war the Great Depression ends.------ Japn bombs American ships at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and thousands of people were killed in the attack. -
The Concentration camps
In late 1941, Hitler ordered thousands of Jews to be transported to work camps. -
Mass killings begin
Once Jews were in the work camps, the Nazi's began killing them in giant gas chambers. -
Work camps evacuated
The Nazi's realized they were losing the war so they started evacuating the death camps and marched the prisoners to ther locations which became death marches. -
Hitler's Death
When it became clear he would not win the war, Hitler killed himself and his wife. -
German Surrendered
The German army surrendered just a week after Adolph Hitler's death. -
The Nuremberg Trials
The Nuremberg Trials were held to punish the people responsible for the Holocaust.
