Archduke Franz Ferdinand was in town people crowded the streets. He was next in line to the throne of the Astro-Hungarian Empire. His wife and him were shot and killed by a gunman, in an open car and attacked he killed both of them. This sparked WWI. -

The Zimmermann Note was a secret telegram sent by the Germans for Mexico.The United States got to it before Mexico and found it the germans wanted to allie with Mexico. -

After the ending of WWI,leaders from 27 nations gathered in Paris,France, in January 1919. They met for a Peace conference. Lands laid in ruins the fighting wiped out millions. Germany had to surrender huge amounts of equipment.
