The Armistice
On the day of November 11,1918 the hostilities between the Allies and Germany ended. What caused their hostilities to end was a ceasefire known as Armistice. This ceasefire did not end the World War, but it was able to create an agreement on the Western Front while peace talks were discussed.The ceasefire was signed because of Germany's weakened army and no support on the home front, they had no choice but to sign on the allies terms(Sawers,n.d). -
