    Italy loses the colony of Tunis to France. They turn to Germany and Austria for help with their problems. 2

    Pals batallions, where all men from the same city or village were put in the same batallion together, were banned due the the large amount of men wiped out from a town. 5, 3

    The central powers, which formed the Triple Entente, were surrounded on all sides by their enemies. 8

    When they US joined, they made a great impact for the allied powers, with more men to fight, allowing more battles to be won. 10

    WIth most of the war taking place in France, many of the civilians were able to here the shooting of te guns and the bombs.

    With Russia not fighting in the wolrd anymore, Japan also drops out, since they had stationed their men with Russia's. 9

    Uncle Sam joins the rest of the propaganda posters on the streets of the US, convincing young men that "he wants them to join the army". 4

    The US was able to recruit 4,355,000 soldiers to fight in World War I. Many of them were persuaed by the countless propaganda posters seen in the cities. 4

    USA was able to join the war shortly after Russia had dropped out. Even though Germany could now focus on one front, they had to fight against more troops. 10
