    When Germany invaded Poland, it was one of the main starting points of WW2. After the invasion. France and Britain declared war on Germany. This was signifigant because it marked the start of WW2.

    Germany attacked Frances Maginot line, which was supposed to be for protecting France from Germany and was located on the border. The main attack was through Luxembourg and bypassed the Maginot line and entered Paris. This was significant because it led to the fall of France.

    After Germany defeated France, they moved on to try and defeat Britian. Germany however, was not able to beat Britains air force, so they was postponed indefinetly. They decided not to bomb Britain so they could prepare for the invasion of the Soviet Union. This was signifigant because it let Britain maintain its power.

    In Pearl harbor, japan launched a nuclear attack on the US. Following this, the US declared war on Japan. This was significant because it is the reason the USA was involved in WW2.

    The American victory in the Battle of Midway was a turning point for the Pacific War. The Japanese lost severely, and left. This was significant because the allies started gaining lots of power in their naval and aeronautic armies.

    The Battle of Stalingrad was when Germany fought the Soviet Union. The Soviets defeated the Germans. This battle was significant because it marked a huge turning point and helped the allies defeat Germany. Many historians consider this battle to be the most important battle in WW2.

    The Allies invaded Italy on September 3rd, and the dictator of italy, Benito Mussolini was overthrown, and the new government surrendered to the Allies. This was signifigant because Italy hadn't been stopped before this moment, and know Germany was much weaker.

    D-Day was an invasion on France and Normandy, and was one of the most impactful moments that helped lead to the Allies success. This was significant because over 850,000 soldiers died.

    In Mid December, Germany started a last ditch effort to counter attack the allies. Hitler hoped it would stall the Allies, but it failed, and Germany lost. The significance of this event is that it ended up with Germany losing 100,000 soldiers and losing tons of equipment

    Soviets closed in on Berlin. The Soviets teamed up with the Allies. On April 30th, Hitler committed suicide. Shortly after, Germany was defeated once and for all. This was signifigant because it marked the end of Germany in WW2.

    The United States Air Force dropped atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. Tens of thousands died. three days later, America dropped a bomb on Nagasaki, Japan. This was signifigant because over 100,000 people died.
