    Some people consider that this might have started the Soviet-Polish War. It was when Jozef Pilsudski, the leader of the "newly re-emerged" Poland, tried to take back used-to-be Polish lands from control of the Soviet.

    The Italians invaded Ethiopia to upgrade national Italian prestige. The armed conflict ended with Ethiopia subjecting to Italian rule.

    War in Asia: Japanese Invasion of China
    This event began on July 7th, 1937. Japan invaded China for raw materials. And after a few days, the conflict proceeded to become an all-out, yet undeclared, war between Japan and China.

    It was a result of a long negotiation series. The leaders of Italy, France, and Great Britain agreed to let Germany add to certain parts of Czechoslovakia.

    Here are some events that happened during the war.
  • War in the Pacific: The Bombing of Pearl Harbor

    War in the Pacific: The Bombing of Pearl Harbor
    Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, damaging/destroying almost 20 American ships and 300+ airplanes. And to top it all off, 2,403 people were killed and nearly 1,000 were injured.
  • War in the Pacific: Battle of Midway

    War in the Pacific: Battle of Midway
    After Japan's success of the attack on Pearl Harbor (which was led by them), they widely ranged their offensives throughout the Indian and Pacific Oceans. To keep their holdings secure, they had to destroy the American fleet. However, the Japanese were devastated to see that they lost four ships throughout the battle, while the American fleet only lost one.
  • War in Russia: Battle of Stalingrad

    War in Russia: Battle of Stalingrad
    Soviet counter-attacks drove back the Germans from Moscow, yet both sides were exhausted. Hitler then decided to attack the Caucasus instead, which had a LOT of oil.
