    Neville Chamberlain resigned in 1940 and then Churchill was chosen because of everyone thinking he could suceed Chamberlain. He also raised the school leavers age to 14 and it used to be 11.

    During WW2 they had to start cutting back the citizens back from using as much goods such as sugar, tires, gasoline, meat, coffee, butter, canned goods and shoes. This all happened because they needed to make sure they had enough stuff for their troops.
