The fall of France
During WW2 Germany invaded six small countries and France in as little as six weeks. Germany took over Belgium and the Netherlands this also pushed out the British. Germany captured Paris and forced the french government to surrender. It happened because Hitler wanted control of Europe and getting this land would be huge for him. This win was a huge impact in the war because Germany was taking over Europe.

The wannsee conference was a meeting of the Nazi officials to find the final solution for the Jews. Battle Of Midway
The battle of midway it was a battle fought mostly in the air the United States destroyed Japan's first line carrier strength America also took out most of Japan's best trained Pilots. Japan wanted to defeat America and get midway for a base to attack Pearl Harbour. America wanted midway because it was strategic to attack Japan with. This loss from Japan helped America not have to worry about the Pacific anymore and it also shrunk the Japanese empire. -
Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
The Warsaw ghetto uprising started by the German troops and police entered the ghetto to get all the surviving Jews however the Jewish insurgency fought back against troops and cops. They ended up losing and the rest of them that were left were taken to camps. D Day
D Day (the Normandy invasion) was when the Soviet union was needing relief so they asked allies to help them, allies helped by invading France. So the allies came in on boats like a Omaha beach 36,400 troops came in and about 2400 died there mostly cause of a cliff were there was machine guns stationed by the Germans. So the battle of the bulge refers to the last ditch effort that Hitler used to drive the Allies out of Germany; it was not successful. They did this to clear the Allies out of the western front because they were losing the war and they called it the bulge because it refers to the wedge that Germany drove into the Allies. so the Allies lost 75,000 men, Germany lost around 120,000 men

The Battle Of Iwo Jima
The battle of Iwo Jima was one of the bloodiest battles in the history of the USA Marine Corps. So it was when America invaded The Island of Iwo Jima because the Japanese would take off from there and intercept American B-29's. approximately 70,000 American soldiers took part and 18,000 Japanese soldiers. 7000 American men died and 20,000 were wounded, 216 Japanese were captured and the rest died in combat.

Battle of Okinawa
The battle of Okinawa was the start of a chain of Americans taking over Japanese home islands. so this battle shows Americans that Japan would rather die than lose you had mothers throwing their babies off cliffs and this just made it easier to use a nuke. The casualties were 12,000 Americans, 100,000 Japanese,both commanding generals,died and 100,000 civilians either got killed or were ordered to kill themselves by the Japanese military.

Leo major liberates zwolle
So Leo major was sent in with a other sniper to size the amount of Germans in zwolle his friend ended up getting killed. Leo got mad and decided that he would single handily liberates the whole town so he went in with a machine gun and was throwing grenades he contacted the dutch under ground and he made it seem as if the city was surrounded by thousands of Canadians. Ve Day
So Ve Day was the last day of fighting in Europe when Germany surrendered. Everyone was celebrating happily that it was over but the war wasn't over because America was still fighting Japan. But this victory led to chaos throughout the cities. This affected the war because it literally ended the main war.
