Germany invades the soviet union which was a big operation called Barbarossa. the push started with three-million German soldiers and 650,000 of German allied soldiers.they all attacked the soviet by a broad front from the Baltic sea in the north and to the black sea in the south.the SS would eliminate any Jews, or other races. eventually the German army got to tired before Stalingrad and were defeated which was a turning point for the eastern Europe side. -

On December 7th of 1941 in the Hawaii islands at 7:55 a japan war aircraft appears out of the clouds at pearl harbor naval base. A flight of 360 Japanese war planes started bombing pearl harbor blowing up naval warships, hundreds of US aircraft's.the Japanese ended up killing 2,400 Americans and injuring 1,200. this US pacific fleet took a critical blow from this surprise attack. -

The battle of midway was a naval battle against the Japanese in the pacific that lasted between June 4th to the 7th.this took place six months after the pearl harbor incident.the US was lead by three commanders who predicted the Japanese naval and won the battle against japan. this was the turning point of the pacific as we gained encouragement and realized we have a chance in this war now. -
The Allied division land in Normandy, France, to start D-day of western Europe
it all starts with american and allied soldiers landing in Normandy, France where they began D-day or operation overlord.the allied soldiers started with a push of 24,000 soldiers on the coastline. this was one of the bloodiest days and it took days to eventually break the Germans defense. over 4,000 men were confirmed dead and eventually the allies liberated the western side of Europe giving them a direct path. -
The Atomic bombs are dropped on Japan
In 1945 the United States have made up their mind to drop two atomic bombs in japan, they are dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki wiping out these places like nothing and killing over 80,000 people immediately.this event eventually made japan surrender and ended up finally ending WW2.
