Czechoslovakia is taken over by German Nazi troops. The country is no longer under Czechoslovakian rule. This marked the first incident where Germany began its plan to eliminate the jewish population. -

A pact between Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler. The pact mean that the Red Army and the Nazi troops would not kill or battle eachother. This was a pact that would later be broken by Adolf. -

Germany invades Poland and begins its plan to eliminate all jewish people. They round up as many jewish people as they can find and send them to concentration camps. They also killed about 66 000 others and wounding 133 700 in the process of capturing. This was the first major step towards the German Nazi plan. -

It was the early morning when Nazi forces stormed Norway. Norway was significant because it served Nazi Germany as a naval base to attack allied warships. The battle lasted until early June. -

The Nazi Germans advanced into Germany looking to gain control of the European giant. The Germans were surprised by the force of the French and British. The battle lasted 1 month and 15 days. -
Invasion of Belgium
The invasion of Belgium lasted for 18 days, leading to the surrender of the Belgian Army. Approx. 6000 were killed in the battle and over 2000 were killed in captivity of concentration camps. -
Invasion of Holland
This was the first time where paratroopers saw a significant use. They were used by the Germans to capture airfields in Holland. the battle lasted 4 days and in the end the German forces won the battle. -

France surrenders and the Vichy Regime becomes the Nazi Puppet government of France; Nazi Germany soldiers overpower the Frence and force the French troops to surrender. -
The Battle of Britain
This was the first battle fought primarily by air forces. For months Nazi Germany bombed London, these became nightly events that happened every day. The battle lasted over 3 months and the British controlled Britain after the Nazi attacks. -
Operation Barbarossa
Operation Barbarossa was the code name used by the Germans for the invasion of the Soviet Army. The Nazis and their allies failed to capture the country as the Russian forces proved to be too powerful. The battle lasted 5 months resulting in the defeat of the German forces. -
The Attack on Pearl Harbor
The attack on Pearl Harbor was an aerial attack from the Japanese Imperial Army. On December 7th, 1941 Japanese launched a surprise aerial attack in an attempt at stopping the US Army from interfering with the Japanese convoys. The attack destroyed many battle ships, submarines, etc. and killed 64.
