On September 1, 1939 Germany Invaded Poland. Hitler did this because he wanted to defend germans in poland and he wanted to overturn the Treaty of Versailles. He also did this, because he thought Chamberlain would not try and stop him. -

On March 3, 1939 Britain and France declare war on Germany, becasue of the invasion of poland. -
Germany Invades Denmark and Norway
On April 9, 1940 Hitler invaded Denmark and Norway. He did this, because he wanted control of Norways extensive coastline. With control of Norways extensive coastline it would be much easier to send ships and submarines into the Atlantic. -
Operation Barbarossa Begins
On June 22, 1941 Operation Barbarossa began. Operation Barbarossa was the codename for the invasion of russia. -
Pearl Harbor
On December 7, 1941 the Japanese attacked the U.S. pacific fleet at Pearl Harbor. On the following day of the attack on Pearl Harbor, U.S declared war on Japan. -
Battle Of Midway
On June 4, 1942 the battle of Midway took place. It was fought near the island of Midway. The Japanese had planned to capture the island of Midway to use it as an advance base, but the plan didnt work out to well for them. Thanks to U.S. communication intelligence successes the U.S. sank four japanese aircraft carriers, (the four carriers that were part of the attack at Pearl Harbor.) -
Germany Surrenders
On May 7, 1945 Germany Surrendered. -
Hiroshima is bombed
On August 6, 1945 little boy was dropped on Hiroshima. Over 90,000 people died. -
Nagasaki is Bombed
On August 9, 1945 Fat Man was dropped on Nagasaki. Over 60,000 people died. -
Japan Surrenders
On August 14, 1945 Japan surrendered due to Nagasaki and Hiroshima being bombed.
