Causes Of WW2
"The depression that hit the United States during the early 1930s was not experienced by the United States alone. The effects of the economic disaster resulted in worldwide hunger, unemployment, and desperation. Because of this, some European nations built large military forces to combat the economic situation. As jobs became more numerous because of the increase in military troops, this build-up increased production and lowered unemployment"(Ignitia.com editors.) This build up caused tensions. -
Italy Joins Germany
"Mussolini had led Italy with military-backed expansion techniques similar to Germany's. In October of 1935, Italian fan troops marched on Ethiopia. This defiant act by the Italians also went unchecked by European powers."-(Ignitia.com editors). Italy was a Fascistic country nearing the beginning of WW2, Benito Mussolini, and Adolf Hitler had almost the same level of evil in them. It's not hard to imagine Italy joining Germany in WW2, and even invading Ethiopia, not unlike Hitler and Poland. -
Hitler's Rise To Power

Soon after, Hitler quickly broke many rules put in place by The Treaty Of Versailles, such as building up his military, and seizing two different countries, Austria, and Czechoslovakia. -
The Invasion Of Poland

Though the Poles fought bravely with inferior weapons, they were soon defeated. The British, who had earlier signed an agreement to help Poland, came into the war immediately. Don't Wake The Sleeping Bear
Japan bombs Pearl Harbor, a naval base with as many as 100 Ships, 16 being sunk, 2,403 lives lost, this caused a declaration of war on Japan by the US, Hitler didn't order this to happen, nor Mussolini, they had no idea about this until December 11th, when Italy and Germany were forced by this attack to declare war on the U.S., and with that, they dug their own grave. The U.S. forced Japan's surrender with the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, meanwhile the Soviets handled Germany and Italy. -
The Cold War Beginnings

The League Of Nations Is Created

NATO Is Created
Now, many European nations could feel Russia breathing down their necks, and so for safety, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was formed. The nations who signed the pact were Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Great Britain, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and the United States. According to the NATO agreement, an attack against one of the nations listed would be considered an attack against all of them. -
Korean War, Quickly Subdued
"The United States sent more than 90 percent of the troops, military equipment, food, and other supplies to South Korea. China fought on the side of North Korea, and Russia supplied the necessary military equipment to the North Koreans.
