    On September 1st, 1939 the Germans invaded Poland from the west side. The Germans invaded Poland because they wanted to neutralize Poland from the west so that they could achieve being able to attack Europe. Also the number of German soldiers that invaded Poland was 1.5 million, during the war 3 million Polish Jews were killed in Nazi death camps.     Germany Invaded France and captured Paris
    On the date of May 10, 1940 Germany invaded France and captured Paris. By the time that the Germans had invaded France, Britain and France had already declared war on Germany. After four days had passed on the invasion Germany had finally passed into France's border line. This invaion of France lasted from May 26 - June 4, the invasion lead to 200,000 British and 140,000 French soldiers evacuating France. This invasion that lasted for a while lead to a “ Fall of France”.

    The date of July 10, 1940 the Battle of Britain begins, then on the 7th of September 1940 the Germans bomb London. The bombing that Germany did on London was a type of payback to Britain for attacking major cities in Germany. Germany had tried to attack London twice but they only succeeded the first time being September 7. In the end Britain didn’t surrender and Hitler ended up suspending the British war that was going on.

    On March 11, 1941 the U.S congress passed the Lend-Lease act, this allowed the U.S to provide for other countries in WW2. The supplies that the U.S provided for the British allowed them to keep fighting longer. An agreement was made that if British placed people in the Bermuda and Caribbean they would give them supplies and such. The U.S wanted their help in this because they were going to use these places as U.S air and naval bases. This act that was passed lead to the U.S to joining the war .

    Germany invades the Soviet Union also known as the "Barbarossa", a type of code name. This invasion was one of the largest opperations that Germany did in WW2. A total of 3 million German soldiers were sent for this opperation, but the weather got the best of them. The winter that hit Russia gave Russia an advantage because of how used they were to the weather. A lot of peoplewere sent for this attack but they ended up failing and giving up on the Soviet Union.

    On the date of December 7, 1941 the Japanese entered the U.S and bombed Pearl Harbor. This surprise attack that the Japanese did lasted about 2 hours and it caused many deaths. A total of 2,000 Americans died and another total of 1,000 were wounded. During the attack instead of leaving some of the people stayed back to help fight back. This attack that Japan made the U.S officially join the war on WW2.

On the day of December 11, 1941 Germany had declared war on the U.S, this is when they officially entered the war.Germany declared war on the U.S because of the alliance that they had formed with Japan. All of these events lead to an even bigger war than it was before.

    The battle of midway toke place 6 months after the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor. This battle lasted a total of 4 days, very short but a great victory for the U.S. The battle of midway was a naval battle because it toke place over seas. Most of the fighting that was taken place in the battle of midway was done by aircraft. The outcome of this attack gave the U.S acces to get into a deffensive position with it's allies.

    In D-Day three country forces came 156,000 that were American. British, and Canadian. This day was one of the largest assaults in history and it was said to have token alot of planning. When the plan was being put to action Hitler thought they were trying to be distracted so didn't send more troops. The victory of D-Day ended with the Countries winning and getting back Paris. This major fall for the German lead Hitler to realise that they wouldn't win the war.

    Germany's intention for the battle of the bulge was to split the allied powers so it could be easier for them to win. This battle caught them by suprise so they just fought against the Germans so that they wouldn't get into Antwerp. The Germans were able to pushback the the border which is why they call it the battle of the bulge. This battle caused the army over 100,000 casualities but still Germany didn't win.

    Battle of Iwo Jima
    Iwo Jima is an island that is 575 miles of the coast of Japan was attacked because the U.S wanted it. 23,000 japanesse soldiers were possitioned on the island of Iwo Jima and 68 hundred bombs were used by the U.S on Iwo Jima. Many japanese soldiers were taken prisinor inthis battle and 5,900 were dead and 17,400 wounded for the U.S. The U.S ended up capturing Iwo Jima from the Japanese.

    The Atomic Bombs
    The two atomic bombs that were dropped were dropped Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The U.S had decided to drop the atomic bomb so that Japan could surrender and they could end the war soon. These bombs had began to be built as a sort of backup plane. But the Japanses did not surrender so they felt it was time to drop these bombs and did. This lead to Japans surrender and the end of WW2.
