The Liberation of Paris
Paris was the center of some railroads and highways in France. Hitler was not willing to hand it over quickly, and if he had to, he would blow up Paris rather than surrender it to us. It was ordered to be bombed and the bridges were blown up because of this. -
Battle of the Bulge
The Battle of the Bulge lasted from December 16th 1944 - January 25th 1945.
In France, it was called Battle of the Ardennes
To the Germans, it was Operation Watch on the Rhine
And to the Allies, it was Ardennes Counteroffensive.
Hitler sends 250,000 troops to advance into the territory of the Allied, creating a fatal 'bulge'.
