  • The Austrian Anschluss

    The Austrian Anschluss
    Hitler wanted unification of all german speaking peoples, including those in neighboring countries. He believed he could expand to Austria and Czechoslovakia by only "restorting to force with its attendent risks" Hitler threatened to invade unless Austrian nazis were given important government positions. The chancellor gave in but then tried to make it a democratic vote for the unification. Hitler sent troops in on March 12th 1937 and annonced Anschluss of Austria and Germany
  • The Munich Conference

    Sudentenland was Hitlers next target for the spread of his unification. When Hitler gave his terms the Chechs strogly opposed. The French, Soviet Union and Britian's prime minister all pleadged aliiance to Sudentenland's side. All the representatives from Britian, France, Italy, and Germany met to deside Chechoslovakia's fate at the Munich Confrence. Britian and France desided it would just be better to give up Chech then wage war and left them to fight the Germans on their own if they want to.
  • Hitler Demands Danzig

    One month after the Munich Confrence, Hitler wanted the return of Danzig to German rule. The request finalized France and Brititains fears that war was inevitable so they sided with poland to defend their territory. Poland declined and Hitler sent his army into and hid forgin minister to talk to the USSR
  • The Nazi-Soviet Pact

    The Soviets believed the only way to protect the USSR was to turn the capiltalist nations against each other. The goal was to have Germany go to war with Britian and France, and the USSR would be safe. It was signed on August 23rd 1939 and schocked the world due to the fact that Communism and Nazism are so diffrent. There was a secret deal that said that Poland would be divided by Germany and the Soviet Union. On September 1st 1939 Germany invaded and WW2 begain.
  • The Invasion of Poland

    On September 1st 1939 Germany invaded Poland. France and Britian declared war and WW2 had begun. Poland restited Germany but they were not as strong and the Germans were way more advanved. Poland fell to Germany on October 5th 1939.
  • The Fall of France

    After WW1 the French bulit the Maginot line of concrete walls to protect them from the German border. The British and French waited behind the wall for the Germans whilst the Germans defeated Poland and figure how to get France. The Germans went around into the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The French left their countryside open where the Germans came through and destroyed the french lines. France and Britain where pushed into Belium and now trapped as Germany took over France.
  • The Evacuation of Dunkirk

    With the Allies in Belgium, the germans were pushing them to the Enlish channel with the only hope being to escape through the only noncaptured port, Dunkirk. Hitler had a delay on one of his orders and gave the Allies a 3 day window to get their people out of Dunkirk at the cost of leaving 90,000 rilfles, 7,000 toms of ammunition, and 120000 vehicles at Dunkirk.
  • The Battle of Britain

    The German air force accidently bombed the capitol of Britian, London. In response to this the British bombed the capitol of Germany that started a all out bombing of London to scare them into surrendering. Germany lost 1733 aircraft, the British lost 915 fighter planes and 449 piolets. During this battle the Queen started the acually ironic but not very populular qoute "Keep calm and Carry On" in response to the bombings. Hilter cancelled the invasyion on October 12th 1940
