The Battle of Belgium was fought in Luxembourg and Belgium. Germany and Belgium fought in this Battle. It took place over 18 days in May 1940 and ended with the German occupation of Belgium following the surrender of the Belgian Army. -

The Battle of Crete
The Battle of Crete was fought on the Greek island of Crete. Nazi Germany began an airborne invasion of Crete. Greek and other Allied forces, along with Cretan civilians, defended the island. It saw the Germans make large-scale use of paratroopers during the invasion. -
Operation ‘Barbarossa’
In June 1941, Germany and its allies invaded the Soviet Union named Operation Barbarossa which was a surprise attack deployed from German -controlled Poland, Finland, and Russia. Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor is a U.S. naval base near Honolulu, Hawaii. On December 7th their was a surprise attack by Japanese. The end result of the battle was more than 2,400 Americans died in the attack and another 1,000 people were wounded. The day after the battle FDR asked Congress to declare war on Japan. -
Battle of Moscow
German forces attempted to overrun Moscow, Soviet reinforcements took a toll on German forces. This battle was against Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. It took place in Moscow Russia. The end result of this battle was the Soviet Union victory. They defeated Germany with a very strategic plan and a lot of Germany’s troops died because of Russia’s harsh winter. -
Battle of Stalingrad
This battle was the largest conformation of WW2. It was fought against the Soviet Union and Germany and its allies. It was fought for the control of the city of Stalingrad in southern Russia. This battle started in August 1942. The end result was Soviet Union winning against Germany. Russian forces were able to form a defense ring around the city which trapped 300,000 German troops. -
Battle of Monte Cassino
This battle took place in Italy. Italy and Allied troops and Germans fought in this battle. Monte Cassino effectively blocked the Allies route north to Rome and had to be taken despite the difficulties of doing so from a military point of view. -
Normandy
Twelve Allied nations provided fighting units that participated in the invasion, including Australia, Canada, Belgium, France, Czechoslovakia, Greece, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The battle was fought in northwest Europe. The end result was by the end of August 1944, the Allies had reached the Seine River. Paris was freed and the Germans had been removed from northwestern France. -
Battle of the bulge
The battle took place in forested Ardennes region of Wallonia in eastern Belgium, northeast France, and Luxembourg, towards the end of the war in Europe. The countries involved were Germany, U.S., and Allied forces. The result was the allied powers won and U.S. The Germans had 100,000 men that were either killed,captured, or hurt.
