    The Tri-Partite Agreement was an economic deal entered into by the Americans, French, And British. The goal of the agreement was to stabilize their economies, which helped during the war with a balanced trade system.
  • Rape of Nanjing

    The rape of Nanjing was the mass terrorizing of the Chinese. It occurred after the Japanese took control of Nanjing, and was largely kept secret by the U.S. This is important because of its effect on the world after the war. The Japanese and the Americans kept all these murders secret, the Japanese to keep their pride and the U.S to keep the Japanese from leaving them and going to communism, which was considered the enemy.
  • Anschluss

    Anschluss was the German annexation of Austria. It was a very supported decision by the Austrians and Germans, given that it was a political Annexation. This is important because it showed Germany's greed for land.
  • Munich Pact

    The Munich pact was the agreement between G.B, France and Germany to not have war if Germany could have Czechoslovakia. Germany would later go on to break the pact, causing WW2.
  • Kristallnacht

    Kristallnacht was a time in German History when Germans vandalized Jewish schools and businesses. In the process they killed 100 jews. This was important because it was the first active step towards the holocaust.
  • German-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact

    The German-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact was when Germany and the U.S.S.R agreed to not fight each other in the upcoming war. Stalin was afraid of a repeat of WW1 and was looking for an ally any way he looked, and he saw this as a way to build up the soviet army. This is important because it stopped Germany from fighting a two front war, which was there major downfall in WW1.
  • Invasion of Poland

    The Invasion of Poland was one of Germany's first major moves in WW2, and it was a joint operation with the USSR. The Polish Army was utterly unprepared and was crushed easily, giving Germany more controlled land and easier transport of Russian Troops.
  • Evacuation Of Dunkirk

    The evacuation was the time when the Allied troops deployed from Dunkirk, and the British troops started to defend France. This is important because it shows that the war was becoming more offensive and less defensive, meaning we were getting the upper hand.

    The lend lease act was an act which stated that America could give money and resources to any country which the president deemed fit. This is important because it allowed the U.S to support its allies without actually going into war.
  • Operation Barbarossa

    Operation Barbarossa was the German Invasion of the Soviet Union. The German troops lost against the Soviets, making a turning point in the war with Germany out an Ally.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl harbor was a military base in Hawaii which the Japanese bombed. The bombing was completely unannounced and had many casualties. The result of this was the U.S. joining the war.
  • Battle Of Midway

    The Battle of Midway was the event where American planes sunk ships in the Japanese fleet. The Americans took out so many ships that the fleet was irreparable. This showed that America had superiority, which Japan ignored.
  • D-Day

    D-Day was the day which allies invaded northern France, which was under German control. It is to this day the largest invasion by sea. This was the first major step towards liberating France, which was proof that Germany was losing power.

    The Liberation of Paris, also known as the battle of Paris, was when the French fought to defend Paris. It was captured by the Germans and the French fought from the inside to get it back. This is important because with to capital captured, a country is hard to rule. A good rule of your country is very important in a time of war.
  • Battle of the Bulge

    The battle of the Bulge was a battle in eastern France late in the war. It was important because it was the last battle Germany would have in Western Europe. There were heavy losses on both sides.
  • Hitler Suicide

    Hitlers Suicide was obviously when Hitler committed suicide. He was surrounded and shot himself in Berlin. This is important because it was the end of Germany in WW2. Soon after he killed himself Germany surrendered.
  • Surrender of Germany

    The surrender of Germany was obviously when Germany surrendered to the Allies, and it is important because it ended the fighting in Europe.
  • Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a horrific event where the U.S dropped two atomic bombs on Japanese cities. Japan and America were the only ones left fighting and Japan was showing no signs of slowing down. To finally stop the war, America dropped the bombs on Japan.
  • Soviet Invasion of Manchuria

    The Soviet invasion of Manchuria was the invasion of Japan by Russia. This was Russia first act of aggression against Japan in six years. The attack was one of Japans main reasons of surrender, because they knew they couldn't fight a two front war.
