The attacks on Pearl harbor were a very big surprise for everyone.
This was a very planed air raid that happened at 8 am. They destroyed 20 of our navel vessels, 300 planes and of 2,400 Meenakshi died during these raids and another 1000 were wounded. -
Bataan Death March
The imperial Japanese army forces 80,000 POW onto train carts to move them to there prisoner of war camps. they had to walk 65 miles totally he rain carts and they all got captured because they were surprised by Japanese forces. -
Battle of Midway
The Battle of Midway was a very decisive Battle on the Pacific theater. This took place 6 months after the bombing of pearl harbor. Midway was very important to the US because it gave us strategic adavanages. -
Battle of Stalingrad
German and it's allies decided to launch attacks against Soviet Union forces. they were trying to get control over the city of Stalingrad which is in southern russia. -
D-day
D-day was the biggest successful failure ever. We wanted the weather to be nice for us it was rainy and foggy.They wanted to show up at night they showed up when the sun was coming up. The one thing that did go right was the paratroopers in the back of there defences. -
Battle of the Bulge
This was the last major german offensive campaign on the Western front. The allies end up stalling the axis powers and kinda forcing them out because they don't have enough supply's then the soldiers bush in and take them out six weeks after the starts. -
Victory in Eroupe Day or known as V-E Day
It was the acceptance of Nazi Germans surrender by the United States forces and British forces. The war in Eroupe was done. -
THe Nuking of Nagasaki and Hiroshima
A B-29 bomber dropped the smaller of the two Nukes on Hiroshima and it was the first nuclear bomb dropped. Then 3 days later we dropped a bigger bomb on nagasaki . -
Victory over Japan day also known as VJ day
This is when the imperial Japanese forces surrendered and the allies won the war. This was soon after we dropped the Nukes on japan.
