Hitler and the Germans storm the Polish border and attacks in form of Biltzkreig. Hitler hated the Jewish popultion and wanted to wipe out jews in oreder to create a perfect race. This event started WW2 and ultimatly caused the Holocaust. -
German Blitzkreig
Seires of stratagized attacks such as missles, tansk planes, and other military attacks. This was designed to end a battle quickly. This caused the deaths of millions and coungured many countries and territories. -
Pearl Harbor
The Japanese launch and ariel strike and bomb the navla base in Hawaii. Japan did this because the U.S. stopped supplying weapons to them. This event outraged America and caused them to enther WW2. -
Battle of Midway
The U.S. defeats Japan in a great naval battle. This was a counter offensive on the Japanses ambush. This caused severe damage to the Japanese navy. -
Battle of Stalingrad
This was the successful Soviet defense of the city of Stalingrad. The Germans were attempting to conquer the Soviet Union. This battle caused 2 million overall casualties. -
D-Day
The allied forces storm the beaches of Normany and launch a massive paratrooper strike. This was a key part in penetrating the German territory. This event led to the discovery of the Holocaust and the German suurender. -
Battle of the Bulge
Hitler strikes the allied forces with a suprise blitzkreig in the Ardennes. Hitler attempted to split the allied forces in the north. This event was one of the main accomplishments for the U.S. general Patton. Also, this had a total of 100,000 U.S. casualties. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
U.S marine divisions storm island of Iwo Jima, which is heavily gaurded by the Japanese. The U.S. nedded a base naer the Japanese coast. This led to the deaths of 5,900 U.S soldiers and countless japanese. -
Battle of Okinawa
Allied troops storm the beaches of Okinawa. Allied forces needed a base near the Japanese coast. Japan loses total 77,000, and allies suffer 65,000 casualties. -
VE Day
This was the victory day in Europe. The Germans had recently surrendered. Allied forces celebrated worldwide. -
Dropping of atomic bombs
The United States drops nuclear bombs on the Japanese cities Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. This was an attempt to make Japan surrender. This lead to countless Japanese casualties and the end of WW2. -
VJ Day
Victory in Japan day. This was the end to WW2. This causes worldwide and allied celebration.
