  • Annexation of Sudetenland

    Annexation of Sudetenland
    Hitler decided to push military into the Sudetenland which was previously taken in the treaty of Versailles.

  • Invasion of Poland

    Nazi Germany invades Poland swiftly starting WWII

  • Attack on Pearl Harbor

    The japanese commence a surprise attack on the US Naval base of Pearl Harbor. The US enters the was the following day.

  • Philippines Campaign

    The US island hops the islands of the Philippines until MacArthur reclaims them May 8th.

  • Japanese Internment Camps

    President Roosevelt carries out order 9066 declaring all Japanese Americans be put in camps to prevent spies

  • Battle of Midway

    The major Naval and Air force battle at Midway. It was the turning point in the Pacific and followed with many US victories island hopping.

  • Guadalcanal Campaign

    The US takes commences it's first land invasion on Japanese soil. The campaign continues until February 9th,

  • The Battle of Stalingrad

    Germany invades the USSR, breaking the non aggression pact. In August they push to Stalingrad where the turning point in the east occurs. Battle lasts until February 2nd.

  • D-Day

    Combining US, British, and Canadian forces attack the beaches of Normandy creating an allied foothold on the western front.

  • The Meeting at Yalta

    The three leaders of the Allied powers meet at Yalta to discuss how the end the war will play out.

  • The Battle of Berlin

    The Allies enclose Berlin and the Red Army invades the heart of Nazi Germany. The battle ends May 2nd along with the war in Europe.

  • Hitler's Death

    Hitler presumably committed suicide in his Führer-bunker as the Red Army enclosed on Berlin.

  • The Potsdam Conference

    Truman, Churchill, and Stalin meet to agree on terms to end the war.

  • Test in Los Alamo, New Mexico

    The US testes it's first product of the Manhattan project, an Atomic bomb code-named Trinity.

  • The Bombing of Hiroshima & Nagasaki

    The US uses it's new weapon of mass destruction, the atomic bomb little boy, on Hiroshima. Three days later they drop another named fat man on Nagasaki forcing the Japanese to surrender.
