    Addressed congress in an effort to move the nation away from neutrality. He had stated that the need to take action was necessary because the domestic problems within the United States were becoming a great emergency. The four freedoms included the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom to worship God in his own way, freedom from want and freedom from fear.

    Lend-Lease Act
    Was the principal for providing U.S. military aid to foreign nations during the war. It allowed the president to transfer arms or other defense materials to any country that the president deems vital to the defense of the United States. The act had permitted the United States to support it’s war interests without being overextended in battle.
