Japanese invasion on china
In 1937 Japan troops brutally ruled most of Asia. Invading China they quickly took over the capital of China Nanjing as they mass killed civilians and soldiers on their way. This frustrated the US leading them to stop trade agreements with Japan. Japan who disagreed with this decision soon signed an alliance with the Nazi party which led to conflict in WW2 -

After taking over the capital of China, Japanese soldiers showed no mercy, mass killing off civilians and soldiers of the china government. This conflict happened during the Sino-Japanese war and dragged into WW2. Which made the US mad. -
German Blitzkrieg
When Germany used blitzkrieg tactics (using artillery such as tanks and planes along a narrow front) to invade Denmark and Norway. Reason of this was to stop long term battles and to gain territory quickly. This let Germany win over most of Europe for almost 2 years. -
The fall of Paris
The battle of France only lasted a couple months till German forces forced the ally troops to surrender, giving the Nazis the French capital and force. This victory gave Germany a great lead In the war and a dominance in Europe for the first couple years of the war. -
Pearl harbour
Japan air attacked the US (Pearl Harbour) destroying 19 US navy ships killing 68 civilians and 2403 US personnel. Japan's reasoning for this was they wanted expansion in the pacific, mores natural resources and for political self interest. This led to USA joining the war and to the creation and use of the atomic bomb. -
Wannsee Conference
Was a conference held by Nazi leaders/officials to plan the extermination of Jews/ the final solution. This led to the holocaust due to Nazis and Hitlers strong hate to Jews believing that they are a lesser being. During the holocaust 6 million Jews were exiled. -
Bataan Death March
As US and Philippines soldiers were forced to surrender to the Japanese they were taken as prisoners of war. After being captured they were forced to walk to a camp 70 miles away in poor health and conditions leading to 10 000 dying. This was a great loss to the US which just took a beating in Pearl Harbour. -
D-Day
Known as the largest amphibious assault in history this attack took part on the beaches of Normandy, France, aside from the navy ground and air troops were used. Main goal was to push the Germans back east and to gain back Europe for the allies which they were victorious. -
Operation thunderclap
This operation was never put to action but was supposed to end ww2. The plan was to bomb Berlin, Germany creating so many casualties and destruction that it would force the Nazis to surrender. -

Was the last major offensive attack led by the Germans in the west luckily the allies were able to counter attack the nazis. Comin
g out on top . The Germans goal was to stall the allies from acting in words to Germany. After this battle it put an end to German offense on the western front and let the allies attack Germany. -
VE Day
Was the day Germans surrendered its military forces to the allies. This was accomplished when the red soviet army launched an attack that ran from the Baltic Sea to the borders of Yugoslavia. After this battle it led to the end of WW2 in Europe. -
Liberation of constitution camps
The first liberation started in 1944 as the allies start to battle through Germany. As more camps were liberated the more unspeakable things the allies found. This led to new war crime laws involving imprisonment. After the liberation the Jews were freed form the nazis torture -
Battle of Iwo Jimma
A 36 day battle that took place on the islands of Japan that ended with 7000 Us marines dead and 20000 more wounded. This battle happened after Pearl Harbour , when the allies came out on top they suffered great loss and decided to switch their tactics. This led to the atomic bomb. -
Dropping of the atomic bombs
Was when US dropped the first ever atomic bombs on hiroshima and on Nagasaki, repaying the price for Pearl Harbor this led to the end of ww2 and changed war forever -
VJ Day
The day Japan surrendered, being the last standing force in the axis, meant the end of WW2. Japan made this call after the atomic bombing and was the day that marked victory for the allies
