    The Japanese invaded Manchuria a Chinese state this was one of the Japanese offensives into the resource-rich china. Manchiria was then used as a pupet state to gain favor with the chinese.

  • Rape of Nanjing

    The Japanese invaded China for its natural resources. When they reached the capital orders came through to break the chines morale by destroying the city. A massacre occurred as thousands of captured chines soldiers were killed off in bunches by the end of the occupation 150,000 soldiers were killed. but sadly this massacure didn't stop at solgers an additional 50,000 male civilians were killed. as much as 20,000 of the chines wemen were raped then killed.
  • Anschluss

    Hitler saw that Austra would be a good place to start his conquest of Europe. so when he got in an invitation from the ethnic Germans in Austria. He happilly to took it. when Hitler took Austria not a single shot was fired the Austrian army happily surrendered and gave free control to Hitler. this was in direct defiance with the treaty of versailles and the allies did nothing about it.
  • Munich Pact

    The Munich pact was an agreement between Great Britain Italy Germany and France*. This agreement surrendered the Sudetenland a part of Czechoslovakia with many ethnic Germans to Hitler as long as Hitler signed a piece of paper saying he would not invade the rest of Czechoslovakia after Hitler took over the Sudetenland he invaded the rest of checoslovica sooooo good job Chamberland.
    *Czechoslovakia was not invited to this meeting despite it being there land.
  • Kristallnacht

    After a low-level German official is killed by a Jewish boy Hitler demands comeuppance for the Jewish population. So he makes public addresses promoting Kristallnacht or the night of broken glass. thousands of SA and German citizens talk to the streets shatering glass out of Jewish stores, schools, and snogogs. This marks the start of the antisemitism movement in Germany.
  • Non-Aggression pact.

    Hitler knew that fighting a two-front war would be the death of Nazi Germany. He also knew that the allies would attack if he invaded Poland. So whats a Hitler to do? Form an alliance with Russia Hitler and Stalin formed the non-aggression pact and together invaded Poland this prevented the allies from doing anything against Hitler as they didn't want to fight the might to Russia and Germany.

    The invasion of Poland was a joint effort by the Germans and Russians. This is where the allies put their foot down Great Britain and France declared war on Germany and itilty and vice versa. This was the start of ww2 the Russians stayed out of the war due to the non-aggression pact but during the war proceed to pick on and annex much smaller countries. Now the largest bloodshed in the world was about to begin

    After the allies rushed to protect Belgium from invasion a gap forms in the french line with the Germans take advantage of this gap and surround britans and France finest young men the Germans start to kill this surrounded group of people. many English ships and private and military alike make the perilous journey across the channel to bring home the young men this was a full example of blitzkrieg and it's staggering effects.
  • Operation Barbarossa

    Operation Barbarossa was the code name for the invasion of Russia. A violation of the non-aggression pact and the start of the western front. This forced the Germans to fight a two-front war. it went well with large parts of the Russian army being encircled the surrendering. but later once winter hit stalin started retaliating against the German offensive.
  • Lend Lease Act

    America felt the pressure of the Nazi regime and in a hope to prevent there direct involvement the government passed the lend-lease act. Which stated that maerica could pass wepory to the allies without compenstation. Hitler saw this as if america had entered the war and was now one step closer to sending troops. It encresed the paulpable tension between the U.S and erope.
  • Pearl harbor

    The Japanese knew that they couldn't stand up the military might of the U.S when we entered the war. so the decided that a surprise attack on the Pacific fleet would be best. cripilling the fleet before the war started. the Japanese sunk 12 ships but didn't attack the repair yards of the fuel storage this meant the Pacific fleet would be up and running soon this pulled America in to the war a goliath had awoken and was against the axis powers
  • Battle of Midway

    The battle of Midway was a turning point in the Pacific theater. american codebreakers discovered plans to take the military base and expand there influence. but with the information secured from the code breaking the Americans repelled the attack and successfully sunk 4 Japanese aircraft carriers this defeat caused the Japanese to pull into the main island becoming less outward and adopting more defensive positions.
  • D-day landings

    Towards the end of the war, both the axis and the allies knew they need to make a landing to free France and Germany from the Nazis. So plans were drawn up 5 landings 2 orcistaed by the British, 2 American and one Canadian landing. These landings were the foot hold from which france was liberated.
  • Liberation of Paris

    After the d-day landings, the allied troops pushed outward from there foothold. Many resistance militias got word of the successful landings over the radio and started harassing German supply lines. This and a mounting list of losses forced the German high command to give up France back to its people.
  • The Battle of the Bulge

    The last German offensive was a last hurrah for the German military. Hitler gathered up his armys and moved to punch through the allied line. trying to create an encircling tactict that resembled the starting offensive. but he didn't get far before the allies forced him to adopt defensive positions the allies and axis fought heavily over this area. this drained Hitler supplies and the loss of the war was imenent.

    The Germans had lost their capital, their motivation and the war. they knew the war was lost as the offensive was being pushed back on all sides. the singed a unconditional surrender to the allies ending bothe there wastern and western offensive.

    Hitler and his wife killed themselves in their bunker. His death marked the end of the Nazi riche. The reason he killed himself was the Allied advance into Germany.
  • The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    The atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima were a decisive blow to the Japanese as the people were tired of constant attacks a nd low food. The japonese were forced to surender by the attacks and the world was shown the power of the atomic bombs. this is to this day the only use of atomic bombs on real targets.
