Nazi take the Sudetenland 1937
Germans were forced out of their homes. The Sudetenland was a piece of land made for peace. Hitler dmanded for this piece of land. Britain and France asked for 11 hours of comprimsing. I chose this map because I thought it would colorful. -
German Blitzkrieg
This event was about Britain wanting send thier air force to bomb targets inside Germany but Britain was persuaded not to by France were afaid of the German reprsail. The French were feelin secured behind their Maginot line. They were ready to fight WW1 again. The next blow came one month later in the darkness on May 10th. I chose this picture because it caused alot of damage. -
Ribbentrop/Molotov Pact 1939
This pact is very important of the dipolmatic acts of Soviet history.It remained in force for a decade. A secrert Protocl of four articles which appended to the formal part of Poland that was divided between Germany and the USSR along by the Sian River-Buh -River-Narev River. I chose this picture because I like the signatures. -
Germans invade in Poland
4:45A.M. 1.5 million German troops invaded Poland all along it's 1,750 mile border with other Germans controling it. Hitler said that the conquest of Poland bringing living space for the German people.I chose this picture because I like how these people march. -
Battle of Britain
The French that were defeated, signed an armistice and quit fighing for WWII. Now, Britain was all alone against Germany's power of their military forces. It had conquered most of Westen Europe in less than a month. Britain possessed an effective air defence system, 1st rate fighter pilots, and a great militay leader Air Marshal. I chose this picture because this place ha alot more damage than German Blitzkrieg. -
Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union
Germany and Russia signed a pact. The both countries were guaranteeing another reigon of influence without interference from the others. When the Soviet Union invadede Rumania, Mr.Hitler noticed that it would be a threat to his special Balken oil supply. When Hitler invaded the USSR, it began by air. Hitler concentrated on their frontline air bases. I chose this picture because the who are in the picture, are preparing themselves to fight. -
Pearl Harbor
This attack is unforgotten and it was a complete surprise on us. Hundreds of Japanese fighter planes and bombers flew into Pearl Harbor and began attcaking. The bombers dropped bombs and torpedoes on almost everything that we were using for battle. While this was happening, the Japanese and the U.S. fighter planes couldn't take off fight back because the Japanese stopped us from fighting. I chose this picture because it goes very well with the topic. -
Wannsee Conference
This meeting is noticed as the first dicussion of the final solution because the records and minutes of the meeting were found intact by the Allies at the end of WWII and was used during the Nuremberg Trials. This meeting was called The Final Solution. It was about torturing the Jews at concentration camps and Hitler approved this plan. I chose this picture because it was to let everyone know what the Final Solution was about.. -
Battle of Stalingrad
This battle is one of the biggest battles in WWII of all time. All this was a huge turning point in the war. The Germans started it first. They used their air force. They dropped bombs on the Volga River then the city of Stalingrad.I chose this picture because this person is climbing to victory. -
Allied invasion of Africa
This invasion of North Africa was planned out the Allies through Operation Torch. Luckly, the Americans teamed with Britain. This battle was successful because we blocked the Germans' shipping lanes in the Mediterranean Sea. I chose this picture because it goes well with the topic. -
Operation Gomorrah
This operation was formukted by Arthur Travers Harris a British Air Marshal.He signed an order for the operation " Bomber Comand Order No.173". The operation was comprised a month later. I chose this picture because there wasn't much damage that was done. -
D-Day
This batle takes place in Normndy, France. We had Americaa, Canada, Britain, and France attacking the German forces. Paratroopers flew down to the ground in the pitch dark killing targets that were nearby. The German forces invaded France and tried to take every piece of Europe. However, we were able to stop them. I chose this picture because this was a piece of equiment to win the victory. -
Battle of the Bulge
When Germany was attacking, they used over 200,000 troops almost 1,000 tanks to go through the U.S. lines. We were not prepared to fight this battle. It was very cold and very snowy. Some of these Germans were smart. They took American uniforms and dressed in them and spoke English to trick the Americans. I chose this picture because these guys knows what to do when it comes to the Germans. -
Liberation of Concentration Camps
This event when was a mass murder and there were huge graves that were filled with piles and plies of dead and inocent Jews.It took place at Auchwitz, the largest concentraion camp . When this was being taken place, Hitler wanted to elminate the amount of the Jews that were alive. It part of the Wannsee Conference and Hitler took charge of the concentration camps.The Soviets fought to put a stop this brutal mass murder. Even though this picture is sad, but it's worth a thousand words. -
VE Day
Victory at last! This event was great beause we took all we had to detroy those filthy Nazis. We put flags, banners, and had a great time celebrating. America and Britain celebrated this event because both teams took out the German war machine. Every Nazi surrendered including Adolf Hitler. I chose this picture because many men their wives missed each other very much.
