WWI was the first major conflic to see a wide spread use of powered aircraft invinted barely more than a decade be fore the fighting began. All air flying object it had a new tactical platform to observe and attack from above. -

Moving troops and supplies by sea was vital to all armies involved in the war. The battle for control of the sea led to an arms race. The deadly tactics, and unprcedented loss of life at sea. -
soldiers and civilians
As countries and caught up in the war soldiers were sent to the front lines , they also built support behind the lines and at home the ladies taking many roles. The villages became the battlefields, the refugees were scattered across europe. -
A century later
100 hundred years after the start of the great war, none of the participants remain alive and we are left aging relics fading photographs scarred landscapes being reclaimed by nature and memories and graveyards across the globe. -

Up at 3:45 A.M raining all day, one destroyer picks up row boats with 20 american soldiers. Dropped anchor in bay, Marched about 3 hours to rest camp. -
