On Febuary 21st, 1916 the Germans launched an offensive attack on the French. It is one of the longest and bloodiest battles of the war. It lasted until December 7th of the same year. -
Known as the bloodiest battle of World War I. British allies attacked the Germans hundreds of miles away on the Somme. This battle was one of the deadliest, with 20,000 dead or missing and 40,000 wounded in the first hours of the battle. -
In early January of 1917, Germany sent a telegram to the goverment of Mexico in an attempt to make them join their side of the war incase the U.S were to join. In return they offered them the land that the U.S had taken from them. Mexico however did not agree, and stayed out of the war. -
