    Kaiser Wilhelm the 2nd was going to help Austria Hungary in their war when they start it against Russia but then they thought that Russia would bring in its allies.

They used their most powerful weapons in their arsenal to take over Liege and made sure to set examples of those who would resist. This battle was significant because the Germans wanted to show their brute power.

    The German U-boats were mobilized to make sure no ships were entering the country. Then it sank a ship that carried 1,198 people that were only civilians.

    Due to the U-boats sinking the Lusitania sinking Germany limited their submarine warfare. But it would also hamper the German efforts in the sea since the U.S can get supplies to France and Britain.

    The British gave Wilson the Zimmerman telegram which was a message from Germany saying the Mexico could side with Germany during the war since the United States entered and any ground they lose during the war the Germans would gain back for Mexico.

    The large U.S. attack the Germans across an open wheat field and suffering major casualties and the territory control switched 6 times in a 3 week period.

    The second battle of the Marne was won to the allied powers which were a turning point in the war and it was the germans greatest hope for victory to keep the Marne under their control.
  • Toward Armistice

    The central powers are losing control of all of their fronts and the allied powers are close to victory.
  • Wilhelm Abdicates

    Kaiser Wilhelm abdicates, ending all German hope for victory so he decided to flee the war and hop over to the Netherlands without many people know and lived a peaceful life but did write a letter defending himself from fleeing the war.
