Archduke Franz Ferdinand is assaniated in Sarajevo, Bosnia by a 19 year old Serbian nationolist named Gavrillo Princip, Princip Shot Ferdinand and his wife Sofia while the couple was riding in a motorcade. -
Austria-Hungary Declares War on Serbia
After the assasination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia because they viewed it as a threat to their empire, this event officaly sparked the start of WW1. -
Germany invades Belgium
Germany invades Belgium as part of their plan to attack France, this pushed Britain to ally with France because britain was an ally with Belgium and they wouldn't let Germany through. -

A coded telegram sent by German foreign secretary Arthur Zimmermann to the German minister in Mexico. It was a plan renew unrestricted submarine warfare and also to form an alliance with Mexico and Japan if the U.S. declared war on Germany. -

The battle was fought along the western front between Garmany and France and is one the longest battles during WW1 lasting till Decemeber 1916. -
Battle of Jutland
The battle was fought between Britain and Germany because Germany had mad an attempt to break the blocked. When the battle was over Germany did not attempt to break it again. -
Battle of Somme
Much like the Battle of Verdun the Battle of Somme was fought between the Germans and the French and more than three million men fought in the battle where more than one million were either wounded or killed which made it one of the deadliest battles in WW1. -
The U.S. Joins the War
After four American ships are sunk by Germany, President Woodrow Wilson asks the congress to declare war on them and the U.S. joins the war. -
Russia Withdraws From The War
Russia signed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk to take them out the war from the Bolshevik Revolution which brought Vladimir Lenin to power. -
Armistice
The day the war finally came to an end which was on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month. -
The Treaty of Versaille
A peace treaty signed on 28 June 1919. The treaty ended the state of war between Germany and most of the Allied Powers.
