Hampton Court
George III in 1760 decided to abandon Hampton Court as a royal dwelling which later on became home to some people named "Grace and Favour" who later on occupied it. -
Stamp Act
In 1765 Great Britain passes the Stamp Act which are tax legal documents and newspapers in the American colonies. This affected people in the colonies a great deal. -

In 1769 a french inventor named Nicolas- Joseph Cugnot tested a steam wagon very successfully. This was of the first working mechanical vehicles in history. -
Boston Tea Party
In early December 1773, ships in the Boston Harvour had cargo's of tea. On the evenng of December 16, Bostonians appeared dressed as Indians and threw 350 chest of tea into the water as an act of rebelion. -
American War for Independence Begins
On April 18, 1775 an encounter between the British redcoats and the local militia occured. This was the fight that ended up leading to the American War of Independece. Til this day no one knows who fired the first cannon. -

Former Slave Publishes an Autobiography
Olaudah Equiano who was a former slave, publishes an autobiography entitled " The Interesting Narrative of the life of Olaudah Equiano". This became one of the earlist formm of writing published by a black person. -
Census
In 1790 the United States became the first nation to establish a regular census in order to more accurately check the growing population. -
Parliament rejects bill to abolish slave trade
William Wilberforce introduced a bill to parliament in order to abolish the slave trade. This bill was stalled for a certain amount of time and was later on passed by the commons but defeated by the lords. -
The United Kingdom is created
Great Britan and Ireland formally joined under the Act of Union in order to create the United Kingdom in 1801. Many people happened to be unsure about this type of alience. -
Protection for British agriculture
The Corn Law is introduced to help protect British argridulture. Mnay corn prices halved towards the end of the Napoleonic wars, which lead to creating worry among farmers. This was ment to help ease some worry. -
Emily Bonte's birth
Emily Jane Bonte was born July 30, 1818 in Thornton, Yorkshire. Emily was one of six children. She had four sisters and one brother. Her parenst were Patrick Bronte and Maria Branwell Bonte. -

George III
After serving Hanoverian monarch for many years George III died afetr being King for nearly 60 years. His oldest son then took the thown once his father was diclared insane. He was unpopular and had a very scandalous private life. -
Mother's death
Maria Branwell Bonte, Emily Bonte's mother, died in 1821. The causes of her death were not stated, but after her death Elizabeth Branwell which was Emily's aunt, moved in to care fo r the children. -
She begins to write
Emily Bonte began to write on June 5, 1826. Emily's father returned home with wooden soldiers fo rthe children. Emily began to write about her wooden soldier's character. As she continued to write about her toy soldiers, she began to write stories. -
William IV
In 1830 William IV suceeded his brother George IV as the British King after their fathers death. -
Emily Attends Roe Head School
After a couple of year Emily attended the Roe Head School in 1835. After begin educated at home for a couple of years she decided to enter school once more.Then in 1837 she was governess at Law Hill. -
Emily writes poems
In 1845 Emily's manuscripts of poems were found. She confronted her younger sister Anne and admitted that she had indeed been writing poems. She was then pursuaded to submit her work for publication. -
Wuthering Heights begins
Emily Bonte began to write Wuthering Heightson October 1845. After writing this story for a year she finally finished it on June 1846, and had it published in 1847. This would soon become a story that would become a classic. -
Emily Bonte's Death
On December 19,1848 Emily Bonte died at the age of thirty. It is stated that did not want to go to the doctors for a number of months after her brother's death. But finally that morning she decided to go to the doctor and sadly died later on that day.
