  • Gone With The Wind

    The epic romance of the south balances on the romantic whims of Scarlett O'Hara, a plantation daughter and spoiled romantic who is married three times during the course of the film despite being in love with her cousin's husband, Ashley. The main love triangle, between Scarlett, Ashley, and Rhett Butler, Scarlett's third husband, leads to the heroine's solitude at the end.
  • Casablanca

    After roaming around Europe, expat Rick has made himself a new life in Casablanca. After obtaining valuable war documents, Rick meets Czech resistance leader Victor. Accompanying Victor is his wife, Ilsa, who just happens to be Rick's former lover who abandoned him in Paris. Victor needs the documents Rick is entrusted with to escape Morocco, but Rick refuses to hand them over.
  • Sabrina

    Ultimate bachelor David has ignored the affections of young, shy Sabrina for years. After a brief stint in Paris, Sabrina returns a new woman, catching the eye of her womanizing former crush. David's brother, Linus, recognizes the relationship's threat to David's upcoming wedding and business deals, so he decides to split up the two by trying to make Sabrina fall in love with him. Easier said than done, especially in the case of bad boy versus Mr.Nice Guy.
  • Pretty in Pink

    This classic '80s rom-com features the dramatics of high school politics in a Cinderella fashion. Outcast Andie fails to realize her best friend, the always-awkward Duckie is head over heels for her. Instead, she vies for the attention of school stud/rich boy Blane. Despite being from opposite sides of the tracks, Blane and Andie fall in love, forcing Duckie to accept only Andie's friendship. Poor guy, it must be hard losing the love of your life to a guy with a better nickname and haircut.
  • Wuthering Heights

    Wuthering Heights is essentially a love triangle between Catherine, Heathcliff, and Edgar. Cathy and Heathcliff grew up together and are two peas in a pod. They are so alike in temperment and passions and personality that at one point Cathy says "I AM Heathcliff." Edgar is the local rich boy who fancies Cathy, and because Heathcliff is only a servant and despite the fact that she loves Heathcliff, she marries Edgar.
  • Titanic

    This love triangle is between Rose, Jack, and Cal. As Rose enters the Titanic, she is "in love" with Cal and is planning to marry him when they dock in the states. But soon, she meets Jack, when he saves her from falling off of the back of the ship. He makes her feel special and is the guy of her dreams. She starts running around with Jack behind Cal's back but she still "loves" Cal dearly. But after the ship sinks, Jack dies from hypothermia and Cal thought she had died and they never did marry
  • Twilight Saga: Eclipse

    In what is indisputably the most-talked-about triangle this side of Forks, the Twilight trio's escapades keep fans dying for more. After shy teen Bella falls for the red-eyed vampire Edward, she finds herself faced with an impossible choice: the friendship of werewolf Jacob or the love of her blood-sucking boyfriend. Despite all of the drama surrounding these three, we cannot quench our thirst.
  • The Great Gatsby

    The Great Gatsby contains a love triangle between Tom Buchanan, Daisy Buchanan, and Jay Gatsby. Initially, Daisy was in love with Gatsby, but she married Tom while he was away at war. Gatsby was left brokenhearted with a strong determination to win her back and prove that he was worthy of her. Tom Buchanan and Jay Gatsby are vastly different people with two things in common; their money and, most importantly, their desire to have Daisy.
