Germany expanded eastward by invading Rhineland and annexing Austria. This led to the signing of the Munich Agreement. -
Munich Agreement Signed
The Munich Agreement was an Agreement between Great Britain, France and Germany. Germany promised to seize any further expansion. -
Kristallnacht
Kristallnacht translates to the Night of Broken Glass. It was a coordinated Nazi attack on Jewish people and their property in Germany and Germany controlled lands. Jewish synagogues, businesses and homes were destroyed. It was on this night that people realized Hitler will increase his prosecution of the Jewish race. -
Non Aggression Pact Signed
Germany and the Soviet Union signed the Non Aggression Pact, It basically meant that for the time-being, Germany would not have to worry about the Soviets being an enemy. August 23, 1939 -
Invasion of Poland
After signing the Non Aggression Pact, Germany felt safe to break the Munich Agreement. Germany did this by invading Poland. -
Allies Declare War
France and Great Britain declared war on Germany after Germany violated the Munich Agreement. -
France Falls to Germany
Northern France surrenders to Germany.
Southern France is also known as Vichy or Independent France. Vichy France is like a puppy government of Germany located in France. -

First battle that was fought entirely in the air. This battle was between the German Luftwaffe and British RAF and the British won. -

Japan expands into southeast Asia with many aggressive invasions. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor
Japan attacked the US navy base, Pearl Harbor. The Japanese attacked on a Sunday, a day of rest, leading to such a high death toll.

After the Battle of The Bulge, Russia and the Allies conquered Germany and Hitler committed suicide. The day Germany surrendered is also known as VE Day. -
Potsdam Declaration
This was a warning to Japan. The declaration stated that Japan should surrender or face complete and udder destruction. Japan ignored this declaration. -
Bombing of Hiroshima
The 1st atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. It killed roughly 70,000 people. -
Bombing of Nagasaki
The 2nd atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, Japan. It killed roughly 65,000 people. -
Japan Surrenders
The day Japan surrendered is known as VJ Day. Japan surrendered after two atomic bombs wiped out two Japanese cities.
