    Also known as The fall of France, this battle was fought between France and the Low Countries against Germany. Germany invaded France, pushing British and French forces back to sea operations. Germany invaded them because a year before, they declared war on Germany and Hitler just wanted control everywhere(world domination). This battle was fought in France and the Low Countries. It ended on June 25th 1940.
  • Battle of Britain

    Battle of Britain
    Also known as the air battle for England, this war was known for the first major battle to be fought by ALL air forces. This battle started because Germany dropped a bomb on Great Britain, trying to destroy their air force so they could take over. This battle was in the air but it was over/in the united kingdom. Germany and the United Kingdom (royal Air Force) were involved. It ended on October 31st 1940.
  • Invasion of the Soviet Union

    Invasion of the Soviet Union
    Also know as “Operation Barbarossa”, this battle was between the Soviet Union and Germany. German invaded the Soviet Union because they wanted to repopulate them with the Germans and to have conquered all of the Soviet Union. This happened in central, north east, and Eastern Europe and ended on December 5th 1941
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    This wasn’t a battle but it stated one. The Japanese attacked the untied states. They bombed the Pearl Harbor, killing 2,403 people. The Pearl Harbor is in Honolulu Hawaii. The Japanese did this because it was the quickest way to destroy the United States Navy. 18 U.S. war ships were sunk/damaged and 188 air crafts were destroyed.

    Battle of the coral sea
    This battle was between the USA and Australia against Japan. Japan fought naval and USA and Australia fought naval and with air forces in the coral sea, between Australia, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. It ended May 8th 1942.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    Battle of Stalingrad
    Germany and their allies fought against the Soviet Union. They fought over the city of Stalingrad because they both wanted control. They fought until February 2nd 1943, in southern Russia.
