On September 7,1940 Germany bombed London, causing the battle of Britain to begin. Germany attacked Britain by targeting Britain’s air bases,military posts and,its city's. More 1,000 German aircraft, 300 bombers and 600 fighters attacked London that day.
More than 430 civilians were killed and 1600 seriously injured.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s has a "Lend Lease program", In which he gives money and materials for allies in the war, such as great Britain. He gives Britain old Naval ships in return for military base bases in the Bermuda and the Caribbean.The Lend Lease program was accepted by Congress and signed off on March 11, 1941.

On December 7,1941 Japan fighter planes bombed pearl harbor. Pearl harbor was a naval base in Honolulu Hawaii. The bombing of pearl harbor killed tons of Americans, more than 200 of those were soldiers. This action brought the US in to the war.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki
About three months after the bombing of pearl harbor, America dropped two atomic bombs on two Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki.This was the worlds first ever atomic bomb.They dropped the first bomb on Hiroshima,This bomb immediately killed 80,000 people and a bunch more would later die of radiation exposure. A couple days later they dropped the second bomb on Nagasaki killing more than 40,000 people.
